Inner Edge Skate Shop grew from a lifetime on the ice.
As a skating family, Jason and Alison have seen the impact of this sport from an early age. Skating teaches discipline. It builds confidence. It also creates a strong sense of community. From competitive beginnings to professional tours and coaching provincial champions, skating has shaped their lives in lasting ways.
Inner Edge is their way of giving back. They share their knowledge and experience with the community so every skater feels supported, properly equipped, and confident in their journey.
When your equipment fits properly, you can focus on what matters most: the joy of skating.
Alison Harack brings elite performance experience and coaching excellence to every skate fitting. As a lifelong competitive skater, she represented Team Manitoba while earning her B.A. After that, she performed professionally for more than a decade with internationally recognized touring productions, including Disney On Ice, Holiday on Ice, and Willy Bietak Productions.
Because she toured the world as a professional skater, Alison understands how important precision fit and equipment performance are at the highest levels.
Today, Alison is an NCCP National trained coach and a Team Coach for the 2026 Manitoba Winter Games. She also continues to make a strong impact in the skating community and coaches the 2026 Pre-Novice and Novice Provincial Champions.
Her experience ranges from provincial competition to international professional stages. As a result, she approaches skate fitting with technical insight, close attention to detail, and a long-term performance perspective.
Alison’s philosophy is rooted in thoughtful, level-appropriate guidance. Every skater she works with benefits from her commitment to precision, progression, and confidence on the ice.
Jason’s understanding of blades and edges comes from a lifetime on the ice. He began skating as a child and later built a remarkable 30-year career as a professional skater. During that time, he toured internationally with some of the world’s largest and most respected ice shows.
Because Jason performed at an elite level night after night, he developed a deep respect for precision, consistency, and reliability. He knows that properly maintained equipment plays a vital role in performance.
Today, Jason brings that same high standard to every pair of skates he sharpens. Athletes across multiple disciplines trust his work. In fact, Inner Edge sharpens skates for most of the Manitoba provincial team.
Skaters also travel from as far as Thompson to have their blades sharpened at Inner Edge. That trust reflects the confidence that coaches and athletes place in Jason’s skill, consistency, and respect for their equipment.
For Jason, sharpening is never routine maintenance. Instead, it is performance preparation. He handles every blade with care and precision so that, when an athlete steps onto the ice, their edges simply feel right.
